350 is the number that leading scientists say is the safe upper limit for carbon dioxide—measured in "Parts Per Million" in our atmosphere. 350 PPM—it's the number humanity needs to get back to as soon as possible to avoid runaway climate change.
On 24th October 2009, people at over 5200 events in 181 countries came together for the most widespread day of environmental action in the planet's history - International Day Of Climate Action. More importantly, Malaysia is also one of the green countries!
So what did Malaysian youths do to heighten the environmental awareness among the people?
Let me do a short introduction.

I'm also a greenager. How could I miss such an important event?
On 24th Oct 2009, I took part in flash dance and "Freeze For Earth" organised by Malaysian Youth Climate Justice Network (MyCJN) and UM. Before that, I went to the MyCJN meeting 3 times to discuss actions that could be taken on 24th.
Meeting (3) at a random place in Mid Valley.
Talk less, shake more.=p
Learn, learn, learn!
Point, Point, Point!
Ha! Ha! Ha!
Just a few times of rehearsal and off we went to KLCC to perform! What was the rush? Hey there, we need to reach KLCC by 12pm and IT WAS ALREADY 11.30A.M!!! Luckily the LRT was not really occupied, probably because it wasn't the rush hour.
So why did we choose KLCC as our stage? ahem, let's look at it.
Wooot! Standing majestically in the capital city of Malaysia, it's not any other buildings but Petronas Twin Tower , the Suria KLCC!! How tall is it actually? Just get 259 man with height 175cm to stand on one another and you will get a human formation which is taller than KLCC by 135cm. Opps....Lazy to calculate? Ahha...I knew it! Answer was prepared. Ding! It's 451.9m =D
Who would ever miss the chance to take photo with the 88-floor KLCC?
Neither the tourist,
...nor the 350 warriors. Say cheeeese =D
By the way, don't forget KLCC turned off the light for an hour to support Earth Hour this year. It means Malaysia voted for the EARTH too!
=D x) T.T @.@ =.=" xD O.O
No coins! It's CHANGE I need!
hot? Hot? HOT????
Despite the scorching and pityless sun, this guy laid on the floor, doing his utmost to draw attention.*Claps Claps Claps*Even Mat Salleh also joined us! Hehehe
Let's see the Freeze For Earth @ KLCC video!
It was funny at 0.07s! Hahaha, Freeze became Sneeze! =X
When Shen Leong shouted, " I SAY, WOOO!" We burst alive and everyone started to do the flash dance!
It's hot in here! There's TOO MUCH CARBON in the atmosphere!!
Take ACTION! Take ACTION! And get some SATISFACTION!
Behind us there was a great supporter dancing too - the KLCC park fountain!
Video - Dance For The Planet at KLCC
Imagine that if you saw a group of people dancing at KLCC park, what would you react? I think it should be a WOOOOWWW!!!Haha..yea almost everyone stopped walking and stared at us.
As I said, KLCC is Kuala Lumpur's landmark. That's why the photo taken in front of KLCC on that day was featured on the front page of 350.org, showing that actions have been taken in Malaysia to combat climate change!
Pavillion Kuala Lumpur is just a walking distance from KLCC. It's also an ideal place to do the flash dance because recently Pavillion just won the international Fiabci award as “World’s Best Retail Centre” . They are also working closely with Tourism Malaysia to make Malaysia, a major tourist attraction.
Kata orang tua-tua, " ada gula ada semut"
Jadi, ada Pavillion, pasti ada orang lah! =D
That's why we wanted to freeze and dance at Pavillion. Hehehe
We did the Freeze For Earth first before the dance. I love the part where everyone was frozen. Seriously, It was my first time to stop moving. (except the time when I go for my beauty sleep =p)
Ehhh wait...spot the crystal fountain behind us? You know, it has become a new national landmark!
The Tallest Liuli Crystal Fountain in Malaysia endorsed by The Malaysia Book of Records! The three bowls of the fountain represent Malaysia’s multiracial culture living harmoniously and its ascending design signifies the growing aspirations of the people.
Now, Open your big eyes and look into it! The design of the fountain features the “Bloom of the Hibiscus” - the national flower of Malaysia. It symbolize of opulence, passion and progression.

YOUth Decide!
